ALBERT "BIG AL"PETERSON, 81Dispatcher CLERMONT - Albert "Big Al" Peterson, 81, passed away Monday, February 11th, 2013, at Joanne's House at Home Hospice, Bonita Springs, FL, from heart failure. Al lived in Lawrence, MA until 1994. He retired as a dispatcher from the Boston and Maine Railroad/Amtrak. He served in the Navy during the 1950s, and was stationed in both Norfolk, VA and Boston, MA. He was a longtime member of the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks and Longmeadow Golf Club. He attended Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, MA, and Saint Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, FL. Al was predeceased by his wife of 39 years and 2 days, Annette (Richard) Peterson, of Lawrence, MA. He is survived by daughters, Elaine (Peterson) Flynn and her husband Rich of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Lynne Peterson and her fiancé Charles Meador, Jr. of Fort Myers Beach, FL; grandchildren Keri-Lyn (Gaudet) Rubino and her husband Jason of Haverhill, MA, Jaime-Lyn Gaudet of Washington, DC, and Bryan Peterson and his wife Sarah of Fort Myers Beach, FL. He also leaves behind great-grandson Ty Mason and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, February 16th at 1pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Avenue E, Haines City, FL. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2pm, followed immediately by the burial at Forest Hill Cemetery.
