MORISON , Yvonne Blanche January 20, 1925 - May 29, 2009 It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we mourn the passing of Yvonne, beloved wife of Doug Morison, on Friday, May 29, 2009, at the age of 84 years. Yvonne was born on January 20, 1925, in Winnipeg, to Edgar and Olive Arnason. Yvonne created many homes with Doug when called upon throughout her busy life in Edmonton, Houston, TX, Woodward, OK, and Calgary. The young and old alike found Yvonne to be smart, witty, charming, and always a great lady. She was fun to be with. She enjoyed her travels, curling, golfing, skiing, and entertaining. Yvonne, the riveter, built Catalina Flying boats during WWII. She turned to banking in Ponoka and then again when her youngest was of school age in Edmonton and later Calgary - always balancing to the penny. She enjoyed many years in the industry before retiring in the eighties. Yvonne is survived by her husband, Doug, who she was blissfully married to for sixty years and children Glenn (Mary-Jean Henderson), Gaybrielle (Rick Brown), and Gord (Joanne). Gran will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Siobhan and Janna, Zoe and Zach, and Jacquelyne, Genieve, and Giselle. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends.
