Oxford - Funeral services for Terry Smith, 50, of Oxford, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Lakeview Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Starling and the Rev. Terry Bostick will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxford Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 tonight at Lakeview Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Mr. Smith died on Saturday at his residence. Survivors include his parents, Mayor Leon and Delone Smith; sons, Jacob Smith, Will Smith; brother, Gary Smith; nephews, Colton Smith (Emily) and Tyler Smith (Ciara) and their son, Walker. Pallbearers will be Jack Roberts, Billy Henderson, Will Smith, Gary Sparks, Alton Craft, Tyler Smith, Terry Smith and Bill Partridge. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Smith and John Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and a graduate of Oxford High School class of 1981.
