DAVIS, TECH SGT SCOTT EDWARD, 38Sumter, SC - Tech Sqt Scott Edward Davis, 38, died on Monday, February 4, 2008 at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. He was born in North Kingston, Rhode Island, a son of Jo Ann Mae Gardner Davis and the late James Lee Davis. He was a Tec Sgt in the US Air Force since 1988 and was a Resource Advisor for the 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his mother are: Two sons, Andrew James Davis and Seth Ryan Davis, both of Sumter; One daughter, Airman 1st Class Jessica Nicole Davis of Lackland Air Force Base, TX; One brother, Robert Abney of Ocala, FL; and one sister, Farrah Lee Gosford and her husband John of Crawfordville, FL. A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 8:00-8:45am at the Palmetto Chapel at Shaw Air Force Base. The family received friends on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 6-8pm at Bullock Funeral Home. A funeral service with full military honors will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 1:00pm at the KELCHNER-MCMICHAEL FUNERAL HOME in Berwick, PA. Burial will follow in the Summerhill Cemetery in Berwick, PA. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00pm at KELCHNER-MCMICHAEL FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, February 9, 2008.
