WILLIAMS, Ruth Whittington, 88, of Tampa, passed away January 2, 2008. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, the Rev. Ralph E. Williams; brothers, James Whittington of Clearwater and Curtis Whittington of Atlanta; and a sister, Jewel Nelms of Atlanta. She is survived by her son, Wendell Williams of Tampa, and his wife, Linda; daughter Juanelle Oliver of Canton, Ohio; one brother, Harry Whittington of Knoxville, Tenn.; sisters, Eva Mae LeFevre of Atlanta, Ga., Pearl Ballou and Joyce Duncan of Nashville, Tenn., and Naomi Smith of La Vergne, Tenn.; grandchildren, Kimberly Oliver Pandorf and her husband, Bennie, Father John Oliver and his wife, Lara, Wendy Williams Hunt, and her husband, Britt, and Cindy Williams; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Caleb, Joshua, Jason, Rachel, Aaron, Anastasia, Genevieve, Evangeline, Jonah, Britt, Bailey and Jadyn. The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, with funeral services following at 3 p.m., at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Words of comfort may be expressed at www.gardenofmemoriestampa.com.
