PARKER, ROBERT H., 71Gainesville - Robert H. Parker, 71, died Saturday June 9, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. He was a retired Electronic Engineer with IBM He was also a veteran of the US Army. He and his wife Jessie moved to Gainesville, in 1997. Survivors include His devoted wife of twenty-four years Jessie Parker, Gainesville, FL. Two brothers Charles E. Parker, Wilson, NC. William A. Parker Crete IL., Two sisters Ethel M. Ray, Mobile, AL, Alice Thomas, Greenville, NC. He was preceded in death by Stephen Parker. Memorial Services for Mr. Parker will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Open Door Baptist Church, 601 N.E. 19th Terrace, with Pastor Charles E. Parker officiating. Arrangements are under the care of CHESTNUT FUNERAL HOME, 18 N.W. 8th Ave. Gainesville, FL. The family will greet friends and family in the fellowship hall.
