Somerville<!--Somerville-->Funeral service for Rita Fran Crowe Smith, 56, of Somerville will be Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church with the Rev. Melvin Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at her residence. She was born Feb. 22, 1953, in Morgan County to Robert Lee Crowe and Mabel Othell Hopkins Crowe. Her parents; and one brother, John Timothy Crowe, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Larry Stanley Smith; two daughters, Anita Charlene Barbee and Andrea Newman (Tracy), both of Somerville; five brothers, Robert Crowe (Shirene), Charles Crowe (Fananda), Larry Joe Crowe (Betty), Ricky Crowe (Pam) and Greg Crowe (Judy), all of Somerville; five sisters, Frances Brown (Cecil), Brenda Petty (Robert), Patty Adams (Jerry), Lazelle Smith (Norton) and Karen Motes, all of Somerville; and a grandchild, Caleb Barbee. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
