<!-- FH = Groce Funeral Home --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Pauline Woody BrownAsheville - Pauline Woody Brown, 100, of Asheville, died on Friday, December 5, 2014, at Aston Park Health Care Center.A native of Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late James Roy, Sr., and Bertha Olivia Bridges Woody. Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Brown; daughter, Nancy Dillingham; brothers, Jack, John, Hard, Billy, Burder, James, Jr., and Woodrow Woody; and sisters, Kathleen and Helen.Mrs. Brown enjoyed cooking, needlework, reading, gardening, and participating in church activities. She had been a member of Southside Baptist Church, in Lakeland, FL, where she had retired. Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughters, Judy Cook and husband Kenneth, of Asheville, and Janis Reese and husband Ralph, of Mulberry, FL; son, Thomas R. Brown and wife Sharon, of Leigh High Acres, FL; sisters, Betty Jane Feather, Bonnie Sue Vires, and Martha Ann Kiser; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, including her special twin great-grandchildren, Ella and Logan Pruitt, and six great-great-grandchildren.A funeral service for Mrs. Brown will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Dr. Keith Hutchinson officiating.Her family will receive friends following the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aston Park Health Care Center Activities Fund, 380 Brevard Rd., Asheville, NC 28806, or to the West Buncombe PTA Hugs & Kisses Program, 175 Erwin Hills Rd., Asheville, NC 28806.The online register is available at www.grocefuneralhome.com.
