ObituaryPaul N. Horton, 86, of N. Fort Myers passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Born in South Onandaga, NY, Paul served in the US Army as a paratrooper during WWII and Korea where he retired as a Colonel after 30 distinguished years of service. He is also a graduate of Cornell University and the US Army War College. Paul later moved to N. Fort Myers in 1972 where he has been a member of the Faith Assembly of God of N. Fort Myers, a past Commodore of the Royal Palm Yacht Club, a member of the Kiwanis Club, Fort Myers Amateur Radio Club and the Gulf Coast Area Repeater Club. Paul is survived by his loving niece Charlotte Hardy of Memphis, TN and nephew Barry (Suzanne) Horton of Hendersonville, NC.He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 55 years, Elsie and son Mark.A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the chapel of the Coral Ridge Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Paul's name to your charity of choice.
