SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Jean Liveoak Horton, 81, will be Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Sylacauga with the Rev. Tim Childers and the Rev. Keith Pugh officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Horton died Dec. 22, 2008 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Dewey Liveoak and Willie Stone Liveoak; brothers, Lamar Liveoak, Tommy Liveoak and Reid Storey; sisters, Sue Liveoak Kilgore and Hilda Liveoak Giddens. Survivors are her husband of 61 years, Frank Horton of Sylacauga; daughters, Carol Sprayberry and husband Steve and Jill McCarter and husband David all of Sylacauga; granddaughter, Kelly Akers and husband Ryan of Birmingham; grandsons, Steven Sprayberry and wife Kimmie of Birmingham and Wes McCarter of Sylacauga; great grandsons, Rowen Jackson Akers and Hudson Taylor Akers of Birmingham; brothers, Elvin Liveoak of Tuscaloosa, J.W. Liveoak of Birmingham and Curtis Liveoak of Wilsonville; sisters, Aubara Fotiades of Galveston, TX, Jo Ann Riggsby of Childersburg and Anna Storey of Fultondale. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 12-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Sylacauga.
