SMITH Martha Lee Smith went to be with the Lord Nov. 7, 2006, after a lenghty illness. She was born August 14, 1940, in Cuthbert, GA, to Moses and Mattie M. Smith. She is survived by a loving daughter, Katrina D. Smith; four devoted sisters, Emma Brown, Mary Cole (Roseboro), Mattie P. Bossard and Bertha Benton; two brothers, Willie F. Smith and Claude B. Smith (Doretha); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at 11 A.M., in the First Timothy Baptist Church, with Pastor F.D. Newbill officiating. Ms. Smith will rest in the mortuary for visitation Friday from 5 until 8 P.M. The cortege will assemble at 1483 W. 32nd St., at 10 A.M. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
