HOLST - Martha Washington (nee Hofmann), passed away peacefully on Septmeber 22, 2009 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Martha, one of eleven children was born on July 4, 1917 in Corona, NY. She met her husband Henry through DeMolay and Order of Eastern Star. She was a past queen of the Grace Coolidge Triangle in Floral Park. They married in 1940 and moved to Florida in 1977. Predeceased by her son Robert (1964), husband Henry (1993) and son Richard (September 2009), Department Chaplain Huntington Manor Fire Department, Chief Chaplain NYS Chaplains Association. Survived by sons, Henry (Dorothea), Donald (Elizabeth), daughter Holly (Ronald) O'Brien, daughter-in-law Noreen Hoist, grandsons Ronald (Gabriela), Matthew (Micah) O'Brien and two great-grandsons. A Memorial Service was held in The First Presbyterian Church, North Palm Beach, FL. Interment will be at All Faiths Cemetery, Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village NY at 10:30am on October 10, 2009 withRev James Anderson officiating. Contributions to Huntington Manor Fire Dept.
