SYLACAUGA-Graveside service for Margaret Cook Wade, 90, will be Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery. A celebration of life service will follow at First Presbyterian Church in Sylacauga.Mrs. Wade died Friday, April 19 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. For many years, she was active as a volunteer with the Red Cross and the Sylacauga Service League. Mrs. Wade was an elder the Presbyterian church and in 2004 was honored by the Presbyterian Women's group with a life membership. At the ceremony honoring her with life membership, she was described as "fun-loving, generous and fiercely loyal to her family." She is preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel Robert Bowen and Samuel Arthur Wade.She is survived by her sons, Dr. Steve Bowen of Sylacauga and Sam (Earnie) Wade of Tallassee; her daughter Suzy (Phil) Hammonds of Birmingham and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sylacauga School Foundation, the Presbyterian Church or Coosa Valley Medical Center Foundation.Online condolences may be offered at www.curtisandsonfh.com.Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
