Juanita Gloria Williams COLUMBIA Funeral Service for Juanita "Nita" "Neet" G. Williams, 83, will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church House Street. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Promised Land Cemetery. A.A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel is in charge of these arrangements. Ms. Williams was born May 28, 1931 in Columbia, SC to the late Henry Thompson and Pearl Macbeth Williams. She departed this life Saturday, January 17, 2015. Juanita was educated in the public schools of Richland County and graduated with the class of 1950 from Booker T. Washington High School. She furthered her education at Benedict and Midland Technical Colleges. Ms. Williams worked as a dietician supervisor at Richland Memorial Hospital and retired after serving thirty years. After retirement, she volunteered at the Harvest Hope Food Bank. Ms. Williams was also a member of the Friendship Baptist Church House Street and was affiliated with the Mary S. Jones Chapter #509 Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria Jean Williams and Constance Louise (Marion) Watson; two granddaughters, Gloria Re-Nite' and Adelaide Rochell Watson; two great grandsons; a stepdaughter, Antoinette (Richard) Middleton; a stepson, Harold (Onita) Huiett and a host of other relatives and friends.
