John W. Davis of Seminole, Fla., departed on June 26, 2014, after spending 85 years with family and friends. He greatly treasured the brief time spent with his wife, Susan. John graduated from Newton High School-Class of 1947. He pursued advanced education at Franklin & Marshall and the University of Pittsburgh. The majority of his career was spent in education, except for time with the Marine Corps, serving in Korea. John was a representative of educational personnel in the New Jersey Education Association. He retired after 23 years of service. He enjoyed golf, and traveling, fishing and boating.
