->John W. "Jack" DavisOwego, New York: John W. "Jack" Davis, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Eleanor (Wager) Davis; twin brother, James Davis. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Davis; four children and their spouses, Bill and Grace Davis, Kathy Davis and Tim English, Jeff and Betsy Davis, Mary and Mike Shotwell; eight grandchildren, Colin Davis, Michael and Alyssa Pisani, Jonathan, Michael and Emily Davis; Ross and Paul Shotwell; sisters-in-law, Jo Hoppes and Jean Davis; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Frank and Kitty Allio. Jack was born in Auburn, NY and served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He retired after 29 years of service from IBM - Owego. PLEASE NOTE: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 MAIN ST. CANDOR, NY with the Rev. Alan Jagger, officiating. Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
