John B. Toole, 61, Punta Gorda and formerly of Sarasota, died March 9, 2004. He was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Sarasota and moved to Punta Gorda in 1968. He worked in construction as a carpenter and was involved in the construction of the Skyway Bridge in Tampa Bay. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Jean; a daughter, Rosie Leftwich of New Mexico; a son, Johnnie Jones of Punta Gorda; a half brother, Raymond Rhodes of Pennsylvania; two granddaughters; two grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Larry Taylor Funeral & Cremation Services, Punta Gorda Chapel.
