JEAN FRANCES RICHARD GRIFFITH, IN Jean Frances Richard, age 78 of Griffith, passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 6, 2009 at Odyssey Health Care Center in Southfield, MI. She is survived and loved dearly, by her four children: Sandy Glass (nee Richard) and her husband Terry Glass, Keith Richard and his wife Amanda, Jerry Richard and his wife Venus, and Carol Dugan (nee Richard) and her husband Jamie; five grandchildren: Jacob Glass and his wife Melissa Glass, Tyler Glass, Hayley Richard, Devron Richard, and Logan James Dugan; two siblings: sister, Dida Champion; and brother, Joe Spencer; also beloved friends: Edward Kennedy and his wife Deborah; and lifetime friend Polly Yancey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer "Rich" Richard; and son, Ron Richard. Jean proudly served as a member of the Munster Police Force for 30 years serving as a radio dispatch operator. Memorial services will be held at Charles Step Funeral Home in Redford, MI.
