CHARTRAND, Irene (NEE GASCON) On March 15, 2008, our loving mother, Mrs. Irene Chartrand of Edmonton, formerly of Mallaig, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her nine children, Cecile (Albert) Chartrand, Lorraine (Bob) Hall, Richard (Sharlene), Claudette (Wally) Urchyshyn, Jean-Marie (known as John), Diane Chartrand, Doris (Denis) Dechaine, Maurice (Kelly) and Nicole (Darrell) Somers; 27 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex in 1968; son, Arthur in 1989; two great-grandchildren in infancy and one sister. Prayer Service Tuesday, March 18 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Parish, 7508 - 29 Avenue, Edmonton. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Parish, Edmonton. Reverend Father Martin Carroll will be the celebrant with interment in St. Jean de Brebeuf Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mallaig.
