Sears SeamstressLAKELAND -- Mrs. Ethel Mae Estes Whitney of Lakeland died of pneumonia Wednesday (Dec. 22, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 84.Born Aug. 24, 1920, in Keene, N.Y., she came here from New York in 1972. She was a seamstress and bridal consultant for Sears in Albany.Mrs. Whitney was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Whitney. She is survived by her daughters, Lila O'Malley and Brenda Whitney, both of Lakeland; sons, Craig Whitney, Pennsylvania, Wayne Whitney, Nassau, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at David Russell Funeral Home, Lakeland.
