SMITH, ELIZABETH RUDDER (LIBBY), passed away on September 10, 2004 at the age of 73, following a lengthy illness. She was born on September 27, 1930 in Knoxville, TN. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1948 and attended the University of Tennessee where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. After college she became a dental assistant and was also employed by the Knoxville Utilities Board. She and her husband, Nathan moved to Winter Park in 1959. In 1965 she and her husband Nathan opened the Winter Park Racquet Club Pro Shop where he was tennis pro for many years. In 1979 she joined the firm of Don Saunders Realtor Inc. where she was a realtor for 25 years. She was a recipient of Broker of the Year Award and several Outstanding Special Production Awards. Many of her clients became close friends. Elizabeth was a member of Winter Park Presbyterian Church and the Winter Park Racquet Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl A. Rudder and Lucille R. Rudder of Knoxville, TN and her loving husband, Nathan of Winter Park. She is survived by son, Nathan Smith, Jr, and wife, Pamela of Mt. Dora, and by son, Scott A. Smith, and wife, Lisa, of Winter Park, daughter, Kimberly (KiKi) S. Flynn and husband, Peter of St. Petersburg. Eight grandchildren, Stephanie and Leigh Smith of Mt. Dora, Trey Smith of Winter Park, Grant, Kari, Tyler Goodrich of Lexington, KY, Peter and Charlie Flynn of St. Petersburg. Sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and John Flowe of Kingsport, TN. Nephews, Alex Wolfe and wife, Kathy of Christianburg, VA, Gene Berkau and his wife, Ernie of Brentwood, TN, Tom Berkau and his wife, Vicki of Smithfield, NC. Nieces, Ella Swanson and husband, Dan of Winter Park, Marjorie McLemore and husband, Frank of Midloathan, TX and Pattie Banzer and husband, Tom of Oak Ridge, TN. Funeral Services will be held at the Winter Park Presbyterian Church on Friday, September 17, 2004 at 1PM with burial to follow at Palm Cemetery.
