Elizabeth A. "Rusty" Burke of Binghamton Elizabeth A. "Rusty" Burke, 93, of Binghamton, died Monday afternoon, January 12, 2009, at Elizabeth Church Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis T. Burke. She is survived by her children, Betty Goolsby, Indianapolis, Ind., John and Sue Burke, Binghamton, Mary and David Maxim, Chenango Bridge; six grandchildren, Alex and Tom Goolsby, John and Beth Burke, Kim and Dennis Redner, Kara and Tom Nanni, Jerry and Susan Buckley; two great-grandchildren, Grace Nanni and Annabel Burke; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. Rusty enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo, watching baseball and basketball. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday at 9:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, St. Joseph, Pa. in the spring. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Rusty may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1 Aquinas St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
