MANCHESTER - Claire Irene Chase, 68, died Oct. 19, 2011, at Catholic Medical Center following a sudden illness. Ms. Chase was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Worcester, Mass., to Henry and Flora (Gagnon) Desmarais. She worked for Jewel Instruments in Manchester until her illness. Claire loved her family, cooking, working with plants, the Boston Red Sox and was an avid cribbage player. She was a member of several local social clubs. Members of her family include a daughter, Deborah J. Brown of Manchester; three sons, Robert E. Chase Jr. of Manchester, Brian (Chase) Kido of Bellmore, N.Y., Gary R. Chase of Goffstown; her loving grandchildren, Harvka Christina Kido and Nozomi Ashley Kido of Bellmore, Kayla A. Chase and Morgan R. Chase of Goffstown, Lee A. Brown and Scott E. Brown of Manchester, and Joshua C. Goulet of Salem. . SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Funeral services are Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hooksett Church of The Nazarene, 6 Silver Ave. Urn burial in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua, will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations to Breathe New Hampshire, 9 Cedarwood Drive, Bedford 03110. Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
