A native of the Gum Community in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late William Calvin and Nora Simmons Byford. She is also preceded in death by son, Robert E. Davis and granddaughter, Carey Danette Davis.Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Parker Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Buddy Royston officiating. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.Ms. Davis is survived by daughters, Carol and her husband Allen Blegen, Susan Davis Gammon, son, Thomas W. "Tommy" and his wife Sandra Blanton Davis, all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, William David Alford, Stacey Gammon and her husband Hampton Ryan, both of Murfreesboro, Daniel M. Gammon of Nashville, Drew T. Gammon of Murfreesboro, Cassandra D. Blegen of Fort Worth, TX; great-grandchildren, Annamarie Alford, William T. Alford, both of Murfreesboro; brother, George Clifford and his wife Jane Byford of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
