The Celebration of her life is Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM from the Dexter Ave. King Memorial Baptist Church, 454 Dexter Ave., Montgomery, AL 36104 with Rev. Cromwell Handy, officiating. Interment will follow in Eastwood Memorial Gardens, 7500 Wares Ferry Rd. Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Jordan will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Ballard, Jr.; parents, Inez and Thomas Ballard, Sr.; sister, Mary Bell Weatherly and a loving, devoted husband, James "Kat Kat" Jordan. Precious memories live on in the hearts of her son, Cedric (Sandra) Jordan, McDonough, GA; daughter, Sandra Jordan-Jones, Montgomery, AL; two lovely granddaughters, Jazzmine Jordan-Jones, Huntsville, AL and Ashley Jordan-Jones, McDonough, GA; two brothers, Selma (Ella ) Ballad and Lee A. (Bernice) Ballard, Montgomery, AL; three sisters, Ruby (Joe) Fitten, Detroit, MI, Pauline (Jerry) Knight, and Betty (James) Redd, Louisville, KY; brothers-in-law, Pastor Thomas (Dianna) Jordan, Sr., and Arthur Weatherly; sisters-in-law, Viola H. Jordan, Jean R. Jordan, Brenda Travis Jordan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and caring friends.
