-> Willie Ann Bowers Smith, 58, died Wednesday, August 18, 2003 at Hospice of Savannah. The Savannah native attended Public School of Chatam County. She was a homemaker and attended True Gospel Tabernacle Holiness Church, where she served as an usher. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Smith and her parents, Helen Grant Bowers and Spencer Bowers Sr. and brother, Spencer Bowers Jr. Survivors: two daughters, Stella (Samuel) Law of Savannah, Shakeya Smith of Savannah; two sons, Troy (Wanda) Smith of Savannah, Eilam (Shanika) Smith of Atlanta; two sisters, Barbara Reddick and Carrie M. Jackson; four brothers, Alonzo Newton of Bronx of New York, Kenneth Bowers, Earl Bowers; two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
