William-R. Keeffe, spouse of Elsie Bigelow, son of William-Jesse and Alice-Lorena, father of Kathy, Tenn, Nancy, James, N. M and William, died. Please consult the obituary here:
CONCORD - William Roy Keeffe was born in Washington, D.C., son of the late William Jesse and Alice Lorena (Conway) Keeffe. He graduated from Fairfax High School, Fairfax Va., Western Maryland College, Boston University School of Theology and Boston University Graduate School. He served as chaplain at Montana Deaconess Hospital in Great Falls, Mont., and he served churches in Penacook, Chichester, Manchester, Merrimack and Bow. He was a board-certified chaplain. He served the United Methodist Church as Northern District superintendent and as Conference Council director. He was a member of Horace Chase Lodge of Masons, Member of the Scottish Rite, and member of Priscilla Chapter of Eastern Star. He also served on many boards and agencies such as child and family services. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Elsie (Bigelow) Keeffe, who died in 2008. He is survived by his two sons, William of Santa Fe, N.M., James of Chichester; two daughters, Nancy of Piney Flats, Tenn., and Kathy of Bedford; one brother, Loren; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. . services:Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7, at Wesley United Methodist Church at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery, Bow.
