William Kirwin April 18, 1955 - May 28, 2013 WILLIAM ALFRED KIRWINIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing or our Buddaaaayy Will. He was a loving and much loved husband to Marlene (nee Bartley); father to Ryan, Shannon and MiCaela; brother to Patrick (Jeananne), Katherine, Anne, Michael (Sumon), and Mark (Diane); uncle and friend to many. He was predeceased by his mother Mary and father William. Willie will be remembered as a caring, quick-witted, active, adventurous, community minded, gentle-man. Despite his hardships with ALS, his priorities never wavered: family and friends were always foremost. He strove to keep his family close, instilling important lessons in honesty, integrity, modesty and more. He recognized the good in everybody, which is why he has so many friends. His strength was formidable. Strength to fight his disease, strength to seize each day, and especially strength to stay positive for his family - even in the end. He leaves countless treasured family and friends to recount his lively, animated stories and keep him in heart.We gratefully acknowledge the excellent support received through the ALS society, ALS clinic and the Home Care system. They enabled Will to enjoy life to the fullest even to his peaceful passing at home. Thanks to so many of you for your support in attending our weekly TGIF parties. "Mr. Party" looked so forward to each one!Memorial service will be held on June 20 at 2:30 pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. 9830 - 148 Street, Edmonton.
