CARROLL William J. Carroll, 76, of Atlantic Beach, died peacefully on March 3, 2007. He was born April 20, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and had been a resident of the beaches since he moved from New York in 1996. He was the son of the late John and Sarah Carroll. Family members include his brother, John Carroll Jr. of Andover, Massachusetts, his sister Maria Carroll of Newport, Rhode Island, two sons, William J. Carroll Jr. of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, as well as Mark Carroll and Christy Carroll of Atlantic Beach, Florida. Mr. Carroll had five grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 6th in Quinn-Shalz, A Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 7th in St. Paul's Catholic Church of Jacksonville Beach with the Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant. A reception will follow at Selva Marina Country Club. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
