Funeral services for William Auburn Stephenson age 86 will be 5:00 P.M. Sunday January 15 2006 at Friendship Funeral Home with Dan Clevenger and Frank Paris officiating. Burial will be in Bellevernon Cemetery on Monday January 16. Mr. Stephenson retired supervisor for Dyersburg Fabrics died January 13 2006 at Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital. He was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ where he served as an Elder. He was an Army Air Force WWII veteran. Mr. Stephenson was preceded in death by his first wife Emily Vickers Stephenson; a son Richard Stephenson and a brother Leo Stephenson. Surviving relatives are wife Sue Darden Stephenson of Friendship; a daughter Melinda Hawkins of Arlington; two sons Barry Stephenson of Kingston and David Stephenson of Union City TN; two sisters Ernestine Bradley of Jonesboro Ark. and Bessie Kate Rogers of Roellen TN; two brothers Ivan Stephenson of Covington TN and Jewell Stephenson of Memphis TN.; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
