Mrs. Williams was born June 7, 1945 in Brush Creek, TN, daughter of late Harvey McMillian and Nellie Anne Howell Burgess. She was also preceded in death by sister, Helen Mabe VanStrander. Wanda worked at Liberty State Bank for 30 years and retired in 1998 from Aerostructures as the Human Resource's Representative after 10 years of service there. She graduated Gordonsville High School in 1962 and married Doras Sidney Williams, March 29, 1963. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband of 50 years, Sidney Williams of Brush Creek, TN; two children, Yvonne Williams of Brush Creek, TN and Travis (Kimberly) Williams of Brush Creek, TN; three grandchildren, Brandy Tisdale, Taylor Williams and Austin Williams; great-grandson, Rook Rackley; three siblings, Anne (Lee) Armstrong of Nashville, TN, Billy (Linda) Burgess of Brush Creek, TN and Eldon (Carol) Burgess of Cookeville, TN. Funeral services for Mrs. Williams are Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1 p.m., at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes. Glenn Ramsey will officiate and Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the Williams family will be Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Bass Funeral Home, Gordonsville (615) 683-8212.
