Virginia was born September 2, 1919 in Nashville to the late Samuel H. and Mary N. Walkup. Virginia was preceded in death by husband, John C. Johnson; and sister, Mary Evelyn Rosentretter. Survivors: son, Houston Neal Johnson and wife Glenda of Talbott, TN. While living in Nashville, Virginia was an active member of Blakemore United Methodist Church, and several women's clubs where she taught china painting and other crafts.
