JOHNSON, VINCENT A., 88, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Louisville, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 20, 2006 surrounded by family and friends. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a Boilermaker and he and his wife lived in Surinam, South America where he worked for Alcoa Aluminum Company for over two years. Vincent was a mason and an active member of the Bahia Shrine and a Keystone Kop. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Fern Johnson; a sister, Mildred Boring; and a brother, Stuart Johnson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 70 years, the former Edna Stephens; three children, Nancy Horton of Winter Garden, FL, Rita Corbell (John) of Mt. Washington, KY, and Charles Johnson (Peggy) of Windermere, FL; nine grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters and two brothers, Irma Stevison of Chattanooga, TN, Iris Young of Louisville, Gilbert Johnson of Louisville, Herbert Johnson of Cleveland, TN, Georgetta Walker of Louisville, and Willetta Watson of Orlando, FL. Also surviving is one aunt, Sylvia Harmon of Hollywood, FL; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside funeral services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery.
