CHAPMAN Chapman, Thomas Henry III, of Pompano Beach died Sunday, October 13, 2002. Tommy was born September 6, 1942 in Ft. Lauderdale to Thomas H. Chapman Jr. and Henrietta Braswell Chapman. He was always proud to be known as the grandson of Pompano's earliest settlers, his grandmother arriving in 1899. Tommy attended Pompano schools and was a member of the class of 1960. He was a Mason and served as Master of the Pompano Lodge #263 for 2 years (1984-1985); a member of the York Rite of Ft. Lauderdale, the Scottish Rite of Lake Worth, and the Amara Shrine Temple of West Palm Beach. A life-long member of the First United Methodist Church of Pompano Beach. Tommy is survived by his son, Thomas H. Chapman IV of Tallahassee, FL; a sister, Nancy Burcher of Tallahassee, FL; and his brother, Robert B. (Phyllis) Chapman of Pompano Beach; and Lena Acosta, a devoted friend. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 11:00 AM Philemon 15.
