MARKHAM, Thomas George - Passed away on March 30, 2009 at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto. Born in Dresden Ontario, September 12, 1918 of Sydney Markham and Margaret Springhall. Survived by his wife Dorothy and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers John, Harold and Robert, and sisters Lillian, Helen, Blanche and Ruth. World War II RCAF. Served in Halifax. Later joined the 709th Communications Regiment where he started the Cadet Corps. Graduated from Guelph Agricultural College. Taught in Brampton and North York as Head of Chemistry. Opened Northview Heights Collegiate in 1957 later became a Vice Principal and then at Newtonbrook Collegiate as Vice Principal. Private cremation on April 2, 2009 in Toronto. To be interred in Dresden in the family plot in the Summer, 2009.
