Winn-DixieBARTOW -- Mr. Thomas O. Anderson of Bartow died of lung failure Saturday (May 27, 2006) at Good Shepherd Hospice Residential Center, Auburndale. He was 66.Born on March 16, 1940, in Pine Mountain, Ga., Mr. Anderson moved to Bartow from Georgia 50 years ago. He was a front-end manager for Winn-Dixie supermarkets for 18 years. He attended First Baptist Church of Lake Garfield.Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Dora B. Anderson; son, Shawn Anderson, Bloomingdale, Ga.; stepson, Pete Dickey, Bartow; stepdaughter, Marie Webster, Lakeland; brothers, Bobby Anderson and J.W. Anderson, both of Sanford, Donnie Anderson, Live Oak, Johnny Anderson, Geneva, Pat Anderson, Bloomingdale; sisters, Charlotte Strohm, Sanford, Mary Wood, Lake City, Nita Hayes, Orlando; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
