PHILLIPS, Teresa K., 49, of Plant City, Fla., went to be with her Lord December 14, 2009, after a very long and very valiant battle with cancer. She was the owner and operator of Teresa' s Family Home Daycare for 18 years, where, over the years, she took care of and mothered countless children and touched the lives of the many families that used her services. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, and most of all enjoyed the time spent with her family, in particular the countless days and hours at Disney World with her children. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Donnie; son, Sean; twin daughters, Brittany and Brianna Phillips; father Darwin Shirley; stepmother, Pauline of Tellico Planes, Tenn.; mother, Mary Shirley of Lithia, Fla.; mother-in-law, Abbie Jane Phillips of Plant City, Fla.; brothers, Miles and Tommy Shirley; sisters, Janice Crumley and Sandra Waldron; four nephews; two nieces; four great-nephews; one great- niece; and countless numbers of other family members and friends. Visitation will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 17, at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 SR 39 S, Plant City, where services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, December 18.
