Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Sylvia Bynum Williams will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Fort Payne. The Rev. Hoyt Bynum Sr. will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. West Gadsden Funeral Home directing. She leaves to mourn, her husband, Ulysses Grant Williams Sr.; three daughters, Marie (Jerome) Fields, Blanch Thomas, both of Huntsville, and Sandy Williams, Austin, Texas; four sons, Cedrick (Darlene) Williams, Centre, Grant (Geneice) Williams Jr., Thomas Williams, all of Fort Payne, and Benjamin Williams, Centre; three sisters, Bettye (Abe) Battle, Rachel (George) Hall, Lucy (James) Granderson, all of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, Ben (Evelyn) Bynum, Augusta, Ga., Hoyt (Dorothy) Bynum, Fort Payne, and Albert (Bonita) Bynum, Gadsden; sisters-in-law, Alma Jean Bynum, Langston, and Emma Bynum, Gadsden; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, cousins and friends.
