Mrs. Sue Floyd Bell 'Mrs. O.B. Bell' - Statesboro, GA - Mrs. Sue Floyd Bell, age 90, died peacefully Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Center under the care of her long-term caregiver Eula Mae Alston and surrounded by her devoted friends Sue and Jimmy Hodges and Sally and Ray McKinney. The native of Chatham County had lived in Statesboro since 1966 and was a member of the Statesboro First United Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player and was a member of several bridge clubs and a long time member of the Statesboro Garden Club. Mrs. Bell and her late husband began the Bell Honors Program at Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, O.B. (Red) Bell. She is survived by a sister, Vivian Floyd Dupin of Vero Beach, Florida and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Organ Fund, P.O. Box 534, Statesboro, GA. 30459.
