LEE Sheila Edith 1927 - 2009 It is in loving memory and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sheila Lee, age 82, beloved mother of Blair and Leslie. Predeceased by her husband Douglas Lee, Sheila will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Ken, his wife Eileen, and Sheila's nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and many friends. She enjoyed teaching, and worked in Surrey, Vancouver and California before moving to Tsawwassen shortly after her marriage to Douglas. Sheila continued working as a substitute teacher while raising her two children, being an advocate for other teachers and volunteering as a leader and commissioner in the Girl Guides. She had a very strong spirit and enjoyed life as a generous and giving wife, mother, daughter, sister and teacher. In later years, she was very involved with her church, the local branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women, lawn bowling and bridge groups. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Delta Hospital. A celebration of Sheila's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Tsawwassen United Church, 693 - 53rd Street, Delta. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Church Mission and Service Fund or Canadian Breast Cancer would be appreciated. On-line condolences at: www.deltafuneral.ca . Delta Funeral Home (604) 946-6040
