WILLIAMS, Robert Eugene, 79, of New Port Richey, passed away Wednesday March 23, 2005, at Community Hospital in New Port Richey. Born in Detroit, Mich., he moved to Florida in 1982, from Livonia, Mich. Robert was a retired senior design engineer with General Motors in Livonia, with 30 years of service, a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in New Port Richey. He was associated with Habitat for Humanity and S.C.O.R.E., and also a member of Pasco County Nuclear Weapons Freeze, he helped with Meals on Wheels, was a member of the National Council Senior Citizens, General Motors Retiree Club and the Homeless Task Force. Survivors include wife, Arlene of New Port Richey; stepdaughter, Diane Eby of Dallas Center, Iowa; stepson, Dale Forbes of Pacific Grove, Calif.; and three grand children.
