->BANGOR -- Robert Wilfred Paquet, 54, died peacefully at Ross Manor in Bangor on Oct. 18, 2007, after a long illness.He was born in Greenville on Nov. 3, 1952, the son of Lawrence Mathias Paquet and Fernande Marie Regina Roy of Jackman.Robert attended Forest Hills High School in Jackman. He joined the Air Force, during which time he was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. He served overseas in Vietnam.Robert was a free spirit who traveled the country but returned back to Maine because that was his home. He made his residency in Bangor and lived with his brother Larry.He was kind, loving and never wanting for much. He always kept in touch with family and friends until his illness.He strongly and quietly faced his challenges in life.Even to the end, he cared about your well-being, and what you had been doing, but was ready to go home.Surviving are his mother, Fernande Roy; brothers, Larry, David, and Wilfred; and sister Charlene.We all love him very much and every day, we will miss him.We know now that his journey here is done, but his journey home will be peaceful, warm and loving.A quiet memorial will he held for family members.
