Robert L. Of Batavia, NY Age 54, died on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at the United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia, NY after a sudden illness. Mr. Smith was born December 8, 1946 in Elmira, NY, a son of Doris Gunderman Smith and the late William E. Smith, Jr., formerly of Elmira, NY. Surviving are his mother, Doris Smith; daughter, Michelle Cook of Venice, FL; brother, Thomas K. (Kathy) Smith; sister, Judith (Brian) Bailey, both of Attica, NY. Robert is also survived by his two grandsons, a nephew and great niece and nephews. It was Robert's request that there be no calling hours and a graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family.
