SENECA FALLS - Robert James Wright, 89, of Seneca Falls, N.Y. passed away on Wednesday (June 26, 2013).A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.In Robert's memory, please contribute to the Seneca Falls Historical Society, 55 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls, N.Y. 13148 or the Waterloo Rifle & Pistol club, Inc. 1392 West River Rd., Waterloo, N.Y. 13165.Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of the late James Young Wright and Edith Benford Wright. The family came to Seneca Falls and started the Seneca Falls Dry Cleaning business on Ovid St. Robert was a graduate of Mynderse Academy, class of 1942. He was also a veteran of WWII and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Seneca Falls.Robert was a bowler, golfer and an avid member of the Waterloo Rifle & Pistol club, and a founding member of the Seneca Falls Historical Society. He was also very active in the Kiwanis Club and a past president of the organization.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phebe Jane; sons, James, John, Jeffrey and daughter, Nancy, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, Inc., 32 State St., Seneca Falls.
