April 3, 2009 Robert J. McKenna, 76, of Solvay, passed away April 3 at home. He retired from Crucible Steel in 1988. Robert was a member of Valley American Legion and Syracuse Moose Lodge. He enjoyed summers at his camp in Clayton, NY. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes, in 1985. He is survived by longtime companion Jan Wells; his children, Michael Bansner of Fulton, Karen (Bill) Clapper of Florida, Lori (Matthew) O'Donnell of Camillus, Maureen Sacco of Massachusetts, Joanne (Bill) Scholl of Syracuse and Roxanne Meeks of Solvay; and 11 grandchildren. Services will be 9 a.m. Monday at Edward J. Ryan &amp; Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave., and 9&#58;30 a.m. at St. Cecelia's Church, Solvay. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday (today) at the funeral home.
