Robert Charles Knut Hanson, 53, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went home to the Lord on May 14, 2011. As a lover of the water, Rob was an avid fisherman and his love for cars grew into a 25-year career as a brilliant mechanic. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Anne Gowdy; and his nephew, "Chip." Rob is survived by his father, Donald, and stepmom, Lesley Hanson; daughter, Nicole Hanson; son, Scott Hanson; granddaughter, Abriana Roberts; sisters, Terri Spitznagel and Melinda Hanson and families; brothers, Richard and Michael Calvert and families; and former wife, Leslie Hanson.A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
