Robert B. Hanson 1917 - 2011 SOUTH HADLEY - Robert B. Hanson, 93, of Kenlee Gardens, died Monday July 4, 2011 at the Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Hartford, CT. He was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (O'Brien) Hanson. Arthur worked for Hano Business Forms. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He received the World War II Victory Medal, American area Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. He enjoyed trains and cars. He was pre deceased by his wife, Julienne (Riopel) Hanson in 2005. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Ayotte and her husband Don of South Hadley, his brother, Henry Hanson, and his two grandsons, Craig Champigne and his wife Katy and Derek Champigne and his wife Vanessa and two great grandchildren, Genevieve and Vivienne. The funeral for Robert will be held on Friday morning 10am from the Ryder Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 noon in St. Patricks Church with his burial to follow in St. Rose delima Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 till 11:30 at the funeral home.
