LOWELL -- Robert A. Neveux, 80, a resident of Lowell, died Monday, May 16, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of Pearl (Houle) (Barbeau) Neveux and Jacqueline M. (Peloquin) Neveux, who died June 29, 2000.He was born in Biddeford, Maine, Oct. 31, 1924, son of the late Henry E. and Marie Anne (Brunelle) Neveux. He was a graduate of St. Louis High School in Biddeford, where he was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps.A veteran of World War II, Mr. Neveux served in the Navy as seaman first class.Before retiring, he had been an electronic-drafting checker for Raytheon Co. in Lowell for more than 36 years.He was a communicant of St. Margaret Church, where he was member of the St. Vincent de Paul and Holy Name Societies. A former member of St. Margaret's Mens Bowling League, he was a volunteer for the Chelmsford Senior Citizens, a Red Sox fan, and enjoyed playing cards and dancing.Besides his wife, his survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and William Kopp of Wrentham; two sons and daughters-in-law, Denis R. and Diane Neveux of North Attleboro, and Richard A. and Suzanne Neveux of Nashua; four stepdaughters, Carol Beaulieu of Atkinson, N.H., Betty Pezza of Milford, Lynn Lowd of Salem, N.H., and Julie Barbeau of Chelmsford; three stepsons, William Barbeau of Medford, Russell Barbeau of Northfield, N.H. and Arthur Barbeau Jr. of Brookline, N.H.; three granddaughters, Kathleen Griffin and her, husband, Douglas, of Wrentham, Michelle Neveux of North Attleboro and Brianna Neveux of Nashua; three grandsons, James Breen and his wife, Tia, of Egg Harbor, N.J., Michael Neveux and his wife, Dina, of Upton, and Richard Aaron of Nashua; two great-grandchildren Kevin Griffin and Raechal Griffin; many stepgrandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Pauline Boisvert of Biddeford, and Priscilla and James Griffin of Worcester; a brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Lucille Neveux of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Dolores Roy of Biddeford; two brothers-in-law, Paul Peloquin and Gary Peloquin of Biddeford; and many nieces and nephews.
