MCCONNELLS, SC-- Mrs. Rita Jane Sigmon Smith, 49, of 1371 Simpson Road, died on Saturday, July 22, 2006, at her home in McConnells.The funeral will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at First Baptist Church, McConnells. Rev. Rick Sturgis and Rev. Rick Sigmon will be officiating. Burial will be at the Smith Family Plot.A native of McConnells, SC, Rita was a daughter of the late Don Hugh Sigmon and Frances Lingerfelt Moss. She was a member of First Baptist Church, McConnells. She was a Homemaker and also a member of the Clover Rescue Squad Auxilary.She is survived by her mother, Frances L. Moss and step father Johnny of Spartanburg, SC; her husband, Carl Smith, Jr. of McConnells, SC; her daughter, Teena Ramsey and son-in-law Travis of Rock Hill, SC; her son, Carl George Smith, III and daughter-in-law Jennifer of McConnells, SC; three brothers, Don Sigmon, Jr. of Gasonia, NC, Rev. Rick Sigmon of Waco, NC, and Scott Sigmon of Cherryville, NC; three sisters, Donna Johnson of Clover, SC, Sandra Williams of Spartanburg, SC, and Renee Jolly of Boiling Springs, SC, brothers-in-law, Tommy Smith and his wife Lecreda of McConnells, SC and Frank Bradford Smith of Heath Springs, SC; and three grandchildren, Kandice, Lacey, and Selicity.
