Rita S. Cote, 64 BIDDEFORD -- Rita S. Cote, 64, of Biddeford, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at her home. She was born in Biddeford, Dec. 31, 1944, the daughter of Edgar N. and Yvonne M. (L'Heureux) Belanger. Rita was educated at St. Andre's School and graduated from St. Andre's High School with the class of 1963. On Aug. 26, 1967, she married Adrien Cote at St. Andre's Church. Mrs. Cote had been employed in the administration office at former Notre Dame Hospital, then owned and operated the Dry Dock Restaurant for 25 years, and most recently worked as a cook at St. Joseph's Convent, retiring last October due to illness. She was a member of the parish of the Good Shepherd and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and entertaining her family. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Adrien Cote of Biddeford; three brothers, Conrad A. Belanger and his wife Adeline, Rock N. Belanger and his wife Rita, Raymond E. Belanger all of Biddeford, three sisters, Therese C. Dube and her husband Raymond, Priscille B. Giroux and her husband Richard, Carol A. Paquette and her husband Danny all of Biddeford; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday at Hope Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Church, Parish of the Good Shepherd in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.
